The EOD badge is awarded to officers and enlisted members who have completed the basic EOD course taught at the US Naval EOD school and are assigned to a position for shich the course is prerequisite. Personnel must serve in the position for a period of 18 months for the award to be permanent.
Air Force badge has the regulation mirror finish.
