Parachutist Functional Badge

To be awarded this badge during the AAF period, individuals had to complete proficiency tests while assigned to an airborne unit or the airborne school; or they had to participate in at least one combat parachute jump into enemy held territory. Individuals must have completed the Army Infantry School course at Fort Benning, Georgia, or a formal course taught by the Parachute Branch at the U.S. Air Force Academy (AFA).
